Establish goals for diversity, establish metrics to measure your current state and progress towards those goals, and then regularly review and take action to make progress. Establishing goals requires knowing what data to collect and how to benchmark it, which in turn creates a foundation for successfully meeting those goals. You will at a minimum need to monitor and make available metrics related to hiring, compensation and career advancement.
